Mitsuru Sakaue (also known as 坂上暢, さかうえ みつる, Mr. Idecs (in document for online purchases of RJL-7007J), Nobu Sakagami (inaccurate Google Translate adaption of kanji name) and @metpatheny) is a Japanese musician, music producer, writer, educator and Pat Metheny aficionado. His ability to program accurate renditions of technical music pieces and virtuoso performances earned him high acclaim among MIDI data connoisseurs[1]. His magnum opus of MIDI data RJL-7007J Pat Metheny Collection even contains his own commentary on the tracks in the liner notes, a testament to his esteem when most releases didn't credit the individual programmers at all.

As chief director of Idecs he programmed many MIDI data disks and product demo tunes for Roland and Yamaha, including wildly circulated GS demo classics such as J_CYCLE.MID and SUPLEX.MID. He later produced ringtones for Samsung[2]. His blog contains musings on his past and present work and influences.
